"Tree Care You Can Trust"

Very pleased with this company! We hired them to take down a large tree very close to our house, to prune several other trees on our property, and to clear out a large landscaped area of our backyard in order to extend our lawn. Mike and Fran answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly prior to the job. Julio and his crew did amazing work the day off, and they were all clearly very experienced and took a lot of pride in their work. The job was done very quickly, efficiently, and meticulously. Julio was very kind and accommodating to my family as well as my neighbors throughout the day. And the price was quite reasonable for the amount of work being done! We look forward to working with them again in a few months when the new lawn will be installed.

Shades of Green are not just landscapers, they are tree experts. We have used them for several years and have been very happy with their services which includes treatment (mites and ash borer) and pruning of existing trees, and also removal of a more than 20’ tall dead blue spruce. They recently cabled a huge maple with a split trunk to give it additional years. They are not just on the ground, their workers are cabled up in the trees assessing each branch. They also will leave your yard free of debris, which I really appreciate. If you are looking for expert advice on saving or removing trees Shades of Green will not disappoint.

Erin was very informative on the bacterial disease afflicting the ancient oak and causing the branches to drop. She was the only one we met with who correctly identified the type of oak and the disease, and gave us options. More importantly, the tree was on the neighbor's property and Erin very patiently and respectfully spoke with our neighbor, a 90+ year old widow with Alzheimers who had planted the tree with her husband maybe 70 years earlier. We had offered to pay half the cost and Erin billed us separately, as well as worked with our neighbor for additional tree trimming in the backyard, grinding the stump, and re-landscaping the area including replacing the nearby shale walkway stones and seeding the topsoil. The area was so clean that you could not tell there had been a huge oak and three bushes there earlier. Erin really made us feel comfortable with her compassion for our neighbor and the professionalism.

The crew that cut and trimmed our trees were outstanding. They showed up early and confirmed the work to be done and started setting up for the job. We had 1 BIG tree and 1 small tree taken down and several others trimmed up. They were VERY pleasant to deal with and respectful of our property and the surrounding area. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that needs tree service. Just want to give a big THANK YOU to Mike and all the crew members. Love you guys!

I have never how do use a tree service before. I wasn’t sure who to call. When I called Shades of Green, Jason happened to be right around the corner from my house. He stopped by, looked at the big dangling branch and told me give him a few minutes he would run to the shop come back and take care of it. Sure enough he was back in 15 minutes and took down the big dangling branch and cleared away all the branch’s and twigs . ...Very professional...Very polite... and the price was shocking lower then I thought! Very impressed👍🏼

This is the third time I have used shades of green for tree trimming and pruning. They continue to be excellent. The crew is pleasant, experienced and professional and great about discussing the work as it is being done. The work itself is beautifully done, and the clean up afterwords is perfect. After many times now using shades of green, I still could not be more satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of its people, from the folks in the office to their work team doing the tree work. They get an A+ from me.

The email I wrote to Mike, the owner of Shades of Green, Inc., captures everything: "I just wanted to thank you for having done a fantastic job with our tree removal. Your workers were friendly, professional and clearly experts. They did a comprehensive and beautiful removal and cleanup." Prior to the job, Mike and his scheduling person Fran, were a pleasure to work with. They answered all my questions and concerns. When I accepted their job proposal, I felt I was in good hands. Their quote was very reasonable. Would highly recommend this company for your tree removal needs.

We had the pleasure of working with Shades Of Green to remove a monstrous tree and to trim and prune three others. The crew leader and entire team were professional, friendly and extremely hard working and detail oriented. The job was done quickly, efficiently and our result was beautiful. I would recommend them to both residential and commercial clients whole heartedly.

Shades of Green is a complete godsend!! The workers truly went above and beyond what was expected. Watching the work they did on my property was like watching artists. It was Devine, (they cleaned everything up beautifully) they gave me opportunity to create my garden and green house with no more dreadful challenges. They're incredibly impressive, as well as their prices, the work sells itself, my family and friends have already made their own appointments after seeing my finished property. Thank you sincerely to the shades of Green family.

We had many trees taken down becasuse they were getting old and had grown quite close to our house. Shades of Greeen (Erin and her crew) were knowledgeable about tree types and as to their recommendations about which trees did (or did not) really need taking down. The company and personnel were punctual, courteous and careful at their work. (Note-while their price was not the least expensive estimate we received - maybe could have been lowe- but this group's work was good and professional so we would definitely recommend them. And, at least one of the cheaper estimates we received made us nervous about how carefully they had thought through their estimate and, consequently, might perform work around our house.)

We've used Shades of Green for well over 10 years to look after our trees and lawn. Mike and his crew have always been a pleasure to work with. All have been courteous and professional, always taking the time to explain their approach and solutions to our needs. We would highly recommend them for lawn and tree care.

From start to finish Shades of Green was professional, responsive and reasonably priced! This company removed a 100 year old Elm tree in one day! Other companies quoted 5-6 + and three times the amount. Thank you Damean Snyder and Shades of Green for all of your great work!!

One of the best options if you are looking to get any tree work done. They are very knowledgeable and very professional when they arrived to my home to take down my tree. And not to mention when they where finished taking down my tree they did such a good job at cleaning it up you couldn't even tell that they took the tree down.

Amazing Service, Amazing Crew! From the first phone call until the work was complete this was great experience. They take the time to listen, propose the work and execute it flawlessly. They taught me a lot - I highly recommend Shades of Green - Special thanks to Jim and Julio - I would have listed the rest of the crew but didn't catch the names 🙂 Use them with confidence!

Shades of Green is tops in everything they do. The consultations are expert, unhurried, personal, and all questions are answered thoroughly. The work is careful, skilled and with the latest techniques. The fees are fair and treatments are assessed as they are done.

We needed a tall tree trimmed and thinned out. We also needed a very tall ash tree removed. The ash tree was located where the crew could not use any machinery to help! Julio and his crew did an awesome job! They were polite, professional, and very careful. When they were all done they did a great job cleaning up. Thanks guys!

I rarely write reviews, but this one is long overdue! Love these guys. They've helped us out on many occasions! Their prices are very reasonable, and they're genuinely good people. Do not hesitate to hire them!

I have used Shades of Green for years whenever we need routine maintenance all the way up to requiring complete removal. They are always responsive, friendly and professional. I wouldn't consider calling anyone else for our tree needs.

We had two trees removed by Shades of Green. Julio and the entire crew were very professional and well organized. We’re very pleased with their work, as well as the reasonableness of the quote and their work ethics. We’ll refer this company to any of my friends who request this kind of work.

We had a very large tree removed by Shades of Green (along with many of our neighbors). They arrived first thing, were extremely polite, worked efficiently and left the yard cleaner than when they arrived! Thanks and definitely recommend.

I had 2 very tall spruces that needed to come down and a variety of bushes and shrubs cleared for a garage. Tom got us in the schedule fast so we could move our project along. Julio and his crew are the picture of efficiency. And they were even able to squeeze in a last minute fence removal for us. If you’re looking for fast, friendly, and professional, I highly recommend Shades of Green!

Mike did a great job explaining what we needed when he came out for the quote. The crew arrived a little bit early on the scheduled day. The work got done very quickly. I appreciated that Mike came out with the crew to make sure everything we had discussed was getting done. They cleaned up everything after they were done. I would definitely recommend shades of green to anyone looking to get tree work done!

The quality of work was spectacular! A crew arrived at the time/day promised and spent a few hours very carefully pruning and taking away large branch debris that had accumulated over a couple of years. Their work was extremely efficient and timely, and they took away or milled all tree debris. We were quite happy with the quality of service and will happily use them again and highly recommend them! We have very large trees and the nature of the work required their level of professionalism.

I hired Shades of Green, Inc. to trim my three trees and remove excess mulch around my tree. They were very detail oriented and took time to explain what needed to be done. They took time to explain the effect of mulch around the tree. They went above and beyond in caring for each tree. Highly recommend!
